2017 South Cobb Arts Alliance Photography Exhibit

posted in: Fine Art 0

I am so excited to share that I have had two images accepted into the 2017 South Cobb Arts Alliance Photography Exhibit. The theme of this year’s exhibit is “Seeing Differently,” and the two images that I’m exhibiting are both taken with a waterproof Olympus camera. I’ve loved exploring underwater photography recently, so it is especially thrilling that these images were accepted into the exhibit.

The exhibit will be on display at the Mable House Arts Center from September 27 – October 30, 2017. There will be an opening reception on Saturday, September 30 from 5-7 pm. The Arts Center is open Monday through Thursday 9am – 5pm (free admission). Most SCAA shows are open to all artists, but this is a special show specifically for photography. I invite you to attend the reception or stop by and see the show another time at your convenience to see my fine art prints as well as the work of other talented local photographers.

Close-up photograph of ocean wave against the blue sky
“Ocean Meets Sky”

This image was taken in large rolling waves, just off the coast of Cocoa Beach, Florida. I love the perspective of looking up at the sky with the wave in the foreground.

Photograph of tiny underwater bubbles against colorful background
“Underwater Magic”

In this image, my daughter had splashed down in the water with her hand and I captured the underwater air bubbles that she created. The abstract metallic look of the bubbles are such a unique element.
