Praying for Texas

posted in: Fine Art, Personal 0

I grew up in Texas and will always love my home state. I took this photo on a ranch outside of Dallas a few years ago when I was back for a visit. I have several family members and friends in the Houston and Beaumont areas, who are personally affected by the flooding after Hurricane Harvey. I pray for all those who are hurting, scared, displaced, as well as all the wonderful public servants and volunteers coming to their aid.

If you are able, please help by making a donation to to UMCOR, the United Methodist Committee on Relief or to another charity that is helping hurricane victims. With UMCOR, 100% of your donations will be directed to victims – all administrative overhead is paid for by the United Methodist Church. UMCOR is always one of the first to respond to disasters and the last to leave. They will be in Houston for a very long time helping with recovery efforts.
