We had a lot of Halloween activities going on this week, between a neighborhood pumpkin carving party, Trunk or Treat at our church, then trick or treating on Halloween night. And fall is really here with all the leaves changing colors, so there was no shortage of things to photograph!
29/365 – Pumpkin carving
It was our neighborhood’s annual pumpkin carving party, and my daughter wanted to carve her own pumpkin.
She picked this tiny one, so I gave her a little tool to poke holes in it and she got to work.
Her tiny pumpkin ended up looking like the cutest little orange votive holder.
30/365 – Peeling Paint
I captured this cool example of texture and color for an an assignment in my book study on creative photography.
31/365 – Hopscotch
We went to a neighbor’s house for dinner and my daughter invented her own version of hopscotch with these pavers in their backyard.
32/365 – Fall walk in the neighborhood
I took my daughter on a walk through our neighborhood to see all the fall colors and Halloween decorations.
33/365 – Trunk or Treat
Getting candy at our church’s annual Truck or Treat event.
34a/365 – Playing in the fall leaves
Every year, I do a little photo shoot with my daughter with the fall leaves in our yard.
This year, we did it on the afternoon of Halloween, so there are two pictures for today.
34b/365 – Twilight Sparkle
My daughter is really into My Little Pony right now, so she dressed up as Twilight Sparkle for Halloween.
Here she is ready to go trick-or-treating!
35/365 – Location scouting
A lot of times my daughter is eager to model for me, but other times, she just wants to do her own thing…
like calisthenics in the park.

Such beautiful fall colors! I love the texture image as well, so much detail going on there!
